Experience

Senior System Consultant

3/2005-Present

Marketron Broadcast Solutions (Wicks Broadcast Solutions/CBSI) – Reedsport, Oregon

·     My primary responsibilities include support of the Control Tower software where I remotely connect to customer’s web, database and client servers to fix data collection issues along with providing end user support for the financial reporting system and web based training.

·     An important part of my position is being able to organize and prioritize issues on the fly along with managing personal and customer information. My success in doing this has allowed me to take on a greater workload and responsibilities which has helped our company increase their profit margin. While I primarily use an in-house solution for CRM and issue tracking I frequently supplement the need using MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.

·     I scripted a batch file and run it as a scheduled task on client installations that automated 70% of the routine support issues during data collection. This allowed me to write more documentation and spend more time training our customers which improved their perception and use of the software.

·     I also wrote a C# Windows service used to troubleshoot network share setup on our customer’s systems. It uses a configuration file and writes errors to the Windows Application event log telling you why it failed to perform a data collection. This has helped me walk our customer’s IT staff through setting up folder permissions correctly during installations.

·     One of my most recent projects was creating documentation similar to Microsoft’s whitepapers that addresses customer’s business needs. This helps guide our customer’s to a solution through the software without having to worry about the mechanics of the reporting system. The developers immediately saw this as a benefit and are designing an interface in the software that mimics the delivery my documentation provides.

Quality Assurance Tech 2

3/2000-10/2004

Hynix (Hyundai) Semiconductor America – Eugene, Oregon

·     The majority of my time was spent performing inline quality inspections of silicon wafers (DRAM) using inspection equipment and scanning electron microscopes in a fast paced high pressure clean room environment.

·     I also coordinated high priority inspections and failure analysis with personnel schedules within my department shift guiding and directing their workflow and daily tasks.

·     My most notable technical accomplishment was writing an Excel (VBA) application for root failure analysis that imported and processed data from CSV files on a network server and drew wafer inspections for visual comparison.

·     Of all my responsibilities I enjoyed training new and existing employees on the manufacturing process and inspection equipment the most. I created, re-wrote and refined our department’s document specifications and training presentations (Word, Excel & Power Point) that helped employees understand the complicated process of creating integrated circuits.

Deli Department Manager

6/1996-2/2000

Freshmart / McKay’s Markets – Coos Bay, Oregon

·     I provided customer service and managed employee schedules and product inventory.

·     I also created small presentations and displays for in store and companywide promotions that helped drive product specials. This combined with my tightly controlled inventory and employee schedules I was able to increase profitability above the breakeven point. (Deli does traditionally operate on a loss in grocery but help to bring shoppers in.)
